The Cherry Wood subdivision in Ocala is a retirement community located just off the 200 corridor on the southwest side of town, with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. Home prices are lower than many of the other retirement communities in the area, ranging from $50,000 to $200,000. HOA fees are between $100 and $200. Most home construction in the development is concrete block with stucco, and sizes range from 1000 to 2300 square feet. The community has a nice club house with a fitness center, billiards area and a library. Other amenities include an outdoor pool, a bocce ball court, and tennis courts.
